CWC students embark on a Pub Pros course organised by Fuller's

Recently, a mixture of BTEC Travel and Tourism and Business students embarked on a six session Pub Pros course organised by Fuller’s. The course focuses on improving business skills, knowledge of the pub/hospitality industry and connecting students to potential employers.

The Pub Pro course championed by Fuller’s to raise the profile of careers in the Pub Industry by informing and inspiring 16 – 18 year olds about the sector and the opportunities it offers. The course covers business basics, employability skills, industry case studies and work experience taster days.

During the first session, students were introduced to the industry and discussed what a day in the life of a pub general manager might look like. The session included various group activities and general information on Fuller’s. The highlight of the course will be pitching an idea regarding a pub to one of the Fullers Hotel's general manager.
