A City of Westminster College student sang her way into the hearts of a group of elderly people from Barnet after being invited to a charity’s Christmas lunch.

Macey Stone, who is studying for a Diploma in Music Performance and Production at our Paddington Green Campus, was asked along to the event at Totteridge Millhillians Cricket Club on Sunday, December 17 which was organised by local charity Puddenecks — formed in 1958 with the aim of raising money and organising events to help older people in Barnet.

Macey helped make it a day to remember for the 61 guests, including her uncle who is a member of Puddenecks. She spent quality time chatting with them all before singing a special medley of classic songs that left much of the audience overwhelmed with tears of joy!

Neil Todd, President of Puddenecks, said: “The feedback from our guests on the day has been quite extraordinary. On behalf of the Puddenecks Charity, we would like to thank Macey for her contribution and wish her every success for the future.”

City of Westminster College held its most recent Open Event on Saturday, January 20, highlighting the college’s subject offerings and career pathways to more than 600 prospective students and parents. Macey treated the attendees to a number of songs while they toured the facilities.
