The college science department recently received a shipment of new equipment, courtesy of the Government's T Level grant. The equipment includes a UV/Visible spectrophotometer, Trinocular and binocular microscopes, a light gate, dataloggers, a laser ray box, an AirTrack, optical bench, gel electrophoresis apparatus, a Rubens’ tube, Electromagnetic field detector and camcorders for students to record their presentations.
Teaching staff spent some time with the new equipment this week, training with Science Technician Team, led by Rahwa Tecle, getting them ready to include the equipment in upcoming T Level lessons.
“Thanks to the government grant for T-Level Science, I've had the opportunity to meticulously select top-tier equipment aligned with the T-level curriculum, ensuring both value for money and high specifications. With the received equipment in hand, the science technician team provided demonstrations for teachers, equipping them for the T-level program ahead.” Rahwa Tecle Science Technician Team Leader.
