On Wednesday, Paddington Campus buzzed with entrepreneurial energy as more than 100 students took part in the Young Enterprise Launchpad event. Students from a variety of subjects—including A Levels, Business, IT, and Health & Social Care—gathered to participate in an immersive, hands-on business challenge.
Throughout the day, students formed teams to develop and launch their own business ideas. From creating brand identities to crafting marketing strategies, they explored the many facets of entrepreneurship. The event offered a unique opportunity for students to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, giving them a taste of the real-world challenges involved in running a business.
The day was packed with insights and learning, and many students expressed how valuable the experience was. One student remarked, "It was really helpful for my future and career." Another noted, "We had the chance to learn what employers are looking for," highlighting how the event provided crucial employability insights. The importance of teamwork also stood out, with participants appreciating the chance to collaborate and gain new perspectives on problem-solving and communication.
In addition to learning about business fundamentals like product development, students benefited from the guidance of volunteers from JPMorgan, who were on hand to offer their expertise and professional insights throughout the day.
The Young Enterprise Launchpad was aimed to equip students with essential workplace skills and a deeper understanding of the steps involved in developing a successful business. Events like these continue to strengthen our students' readiness for the future, empowering them with the skills needed to thrive in their careers.
