Last week, City of Westminster College held their annual Student Conference. Each year, student union members, class representatives, and staff come together to discuss college life and how we can best accommodate the learner experience.
Attendees participated in a series of icebreaker activities to start, warming up their collaborative voice for group discussion on essential topics related to the college experience. Assistant Principals and Curriculum Managers actively took part in discussions, listening to learner insights and using them to fuel brainstorming sessions on how to transform college for the better.
"The event was a positive experience for all involved," said Joanne Smith, Interim Assistant Principal for Student Experience. "By hearing directly from our students, we have our finger on the pulse on the issues that matter, and can continue to adapt and grow as an institution”.
The Student Conference is a testament to United Colleges Group’s core principle of putting our students first in everything we do. The feedback gathered will now be reviewed, with actionable steps taken to address improvement areas.
