Students from City of Westminster College’s Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts have secured a spot at Donmar Warehouse’s competitive Take the Stage and LOCAL Residency programmes. Kicking off this term, 25 students will develop their creative skills and immerse themselves in the workings of this powerful, independent non-profit theatre in London’s Covent Garden. 

Take the Stage will offer students the chance to work with a professional director to refine their acting skills using the Donmar’s space, learning about ongoing productions and working with professional creatives to produce their own piece of theatre. 

Donmar’s LOCAL Residency will invite learners to collaborate with industry practitioners over a 12-week period to create an original piece of theatre reflecting their unique experiences as young people.

Last week, students took their first trip of many to the Donmar Warehouse with complimentary tickets to see Juniper Blood and gather inspiration for their upcoming projects.  

The final Take the Stage performance will be held on Friday 21st November.
