Sports and Media students at City of Westminster College gathered at the World of Work last week for a conversation with top sports presenter Clare Tomlinson about her life and career.

Clare Tomlinson has been a regular presenter on Sky Sports since the 1990s, and was the first female touchline reporter on UK TV. Students were excited to hear about her career and take home some practical advice for how to get a headstart in the competitive sporting world.

Having interviewed many high-profile sports stars - from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger - Clare had many tips for students about working in high-pressure live environments. She also gave some inspiration to Sport students considering the huge array of options on the ‘non physical’ side of the Sports/Entertainment industry.
