The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends that all first aiders - both Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work complete an annual half-day refresher course. This is to help maintain their basic skills and keep up-to-date with any changes to first-aid procedures.
Candidates will practise and be assessed on the skills needed to administer first aid to a casualty who is:
Learners must successfully complete the practical assessment to achieve the qualification.
Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work or HSE-approved First Aid at Work is required for entry onto the course.
