Will the course give me what I want?

The qualification you will study is a Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies.

Course content

To complete the programme you must study and pass eight modules.

The programme consists of the following six core modules:

  • Developing English Language Skills
  • Study and Communication Skills
  • Advanced English Language Skills
  • Culture Studies
  • English for Academic Purposes
  • Foundation Mathematics

A further two modules must be taken:

  • Introduction to Business
  • Introduction to Accounting and Economics

Optional module: Introduction to IELTS – this prepares you for assessment by the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). (This module does not carry any credits towards the programme and is not assessed by NCC.)

Face-to-face lectures, tutorials and seminars supported by an extensive range of online learning materials.

How will I be assessed?

Coursework and examinations

How much time should I be expected to spend on assignments, projects, field trips etc.?

The time you spend on coursework outside the classroom will mainly depend on your level of English

Entry Requirements

What qualifications or skills do I need to show I have before I can enrol?

Successful completion of a secondary education in an appropriate range of subjects plus Tier 4 Visa requirements. Click here for Tier 4 Visa Requirements.

Expected prior knowledge

The expected prior knowledge for this course is English at IELTS 5.0, Secondary school Mathematics and an interest in either Business or IT.
