Travel & Tourism

If you see yourself working as a holiday representative or managing a chain of hotels, are passionate about local culture, and have a desire to help people make the most of their leisure time, you’d love a career in travel and tourism.  

Learn from teachers with industry experience, high professional standards and the skills required by the travel and leisure sector. You could also travel within the UK and Europe on our residential exchange programme. For those looking for direct entry to employment, we provide an Introduction to Cabin Crew short course.  

You’ll study practical work-related projects with teachers who have years of real-industry experience, and be supported to develop skills for job applications, interviews and visit real employers.     

We have a state-of-the-art, fully equipped aeroplane cabin training room students use as part of…need to complete this on Monday 

Do you know… 

You can gain work experience from industry leading employers and have the opportunity to experience a British Airways Training Day. Students also visit sites such as South Bank and Cadbury’s World. 

Earning potential 

Entry-level salaries within the travel and tourism sector typically start at around £15,000-£19,000 (prospects.ac.uk)  

What’s next? 

Upon successful completion of Level 3, you can progress onto a university degree or enter employment. Future job opportunities may include airport customer service agent, cabin crew, events officer, hotel manager, tour operator, tourism officer, travel agent and more.
