Students at City of Westminster College were today celebrating their A-level results, with hundreds getting the grades needed to study at university. Ninety seven percent of students passed their exams, with many going on to continue their studies at university level.
Atiqur Rahman is going on to study Business Management at Middlesex University after passing all of his exams, “I’m looking forward to going to Middlesex. I might adjust my course though because I got higher grades than I expected to get which means I may be able to take a slightly different course. I’m really pleased though.”
“I got the grades I needed to get into university so I’m happy about that,” explained Rukayat Jayeola. “I’m going to study psychology at Hertfordshire University. I’m really pleased that I got in and I’m excited to be going to university!” Juste Rasciute was really pleased with her grades which earned her a place on her chosen course in Manchester, “I did well which means I can go to university in September,” she said. “I got my email this morning so I was really happy! I’m going to study International Events Management in Manchester and I’m looking forward to meeting new people and living in a new place, I can’t wait!”
Amaree Rodrigues and Sabren Maialim were celebrating their AS results which mean that they can stay on at CWC to complete their A Levels next year. “I’ve just finished my AS levels and have done well enough to get onto the courses I want at CWC for next year,” said Amaree. “I’m studying History, English Literature and Media and I’m really pleased that I can carry on to A2 next year.”
