City of Westminster College and global security software company Trend Micro are pleased to present Our Digital Futures, a photography exhibition featuring work by the students of City of Westminster College’s BTEC Level 3 Photography courses. Launching Thursday 5th March with a private view, the exhibition will be open to the public Friday 6th March, Monday 9th March and Tuesday 10th March between the hours of 5.30pm-7pm at Trend Micro’s offices in Paddington Basin.
The exhibition is the result of a partnership between the two organisations which was formed last summer, designed to enhance and develop the students’ study and employability opportunities. The partnership officially launches with the exhibition, based on a theme set by Trend Micro. As part of the preparation for the exhibition, IT experts from Trend Micro visited students at the college to discuss the future of technology. Plans for developing the partnership include financial bursaries for selected students to buy equipment or to contribute to higher education fees.
Briony Marston, Head of School for Creative Industries said, “We are delighted to be working with Trend Micro and to develop our partnership with them. They have been incredibly welcoming and supportive to our students and have given them freedom to respond to the exhibition theme as they wish.”
"Our collaboration with the City of Westminster College started in June of last year when we worked together in integrating this project into their syllabus", said David O'Riley, EMEA Human Resources for Trend Micro. "The exhibition at our Paddington office on the 5th of March is an opportunity for the wider community to experience the work of these talented students first hand as they showcase their work and present their interpretation of the Digital Future through the medium of photography. We are delighted and excited to be working with CWC and see this partnership as a long-term, sustainable project."
