Your options if you didn't get the grades you were hoping for

We all know how stressful results day can be. You may already have an idea of what you want to do once you get your results. But what if you don't get the grades you were hoping for?

Don't worry, there are plenty of options for you.

Vocational courses

If you didn't do so well on your exams, perhaps you might want to consider a vocational course. Not all of us are great at exams. Even though you've revised and covered all of the topics that might come up during an exam, on the day sometimes it just doesn't go as you were hoping.

If this feels like you, vocational courses offer a more practical way of learning. A majority of your course will be assessed through assignments. And with vocational qualifications, you can still progress onto university.

Although Vocational courses are often compared against A Levels, there are different levels of the vocational courses. Here's the breakdown:

Levels 1- 2  : GCSE equivalent

Level 3 : A Level equivalent

Levels 4-7 : Degree equivalent

If you haven't passed your English or Maths GCSE, you can always enrol on a vocational course and we can help you retake your GCSE Maths or English alongside your main course to improve your grade.

Apprenticeship

If you already know what type of job you would like to have in the future, or if you would like to get some work experience while learning on the job, an apprenticeship could work for you. Each program is already approved so you will always gain a valid qualification from your apprenticeship. Apprenticeship are on the job qualifications, where you gain experience while studying, which will help make you more employable.
