UCG student wins Medallion for Excellence at WorldSkills Lyon

United Colleges Group (UCG) are delighted to announce that one of its students has been awarded a Medallion for Excellence at WorldSkills Lyon 2024.

Pearson, the world’s lifelong learning company is the official partner of Team UK for WorldSkills Lyon 2024.

Update 22 October 2024:
Mark has now been honoured with the prestigious Douglas Hill Award at an amazing ceremony at the Houses of Parliament. The Douglas Hill Award is named after Douglas Hill who was the UK’s first competitor to compete at WorldSkills, winning a silver medal in woodworking at Madrid in 1953. He was able to present the award in person to Mark. The award recognises a World Skills competitor who has overcome great obstacles during the cycle and at competition.
