The governance over apprenticeships as a whole is being transferred from the Government to a new shadow-group called the Institute for Apprenticeships. It is made up of employer representatives and will be responsible for approving expressions of interest in new Standards, guidance on the development of Standards, approving assessment plans, advising the Government on funding, etc.
