Students Take a Stand for Fairer Living Wage

CITY of Westminster College students staged a silent protest to demand a fairer living wage for healthcare professionals outside Charing Cross Hospital.

The Health and Social Care learners have been engaged in a project for a fairer living wage for nurses since the start of term which has supported them to develop the following key areas: research skills, listening skills, planning skills, taking direct action and evaluation skills.

The protest was well attended as the students showed solidarity with nurses who are fighting for better pay and  working conditions during the current Cost of Living Crisis.

Well done to everyone involved at the  event - organisers and the students who represented the college with pride.
